Its mission is to educate professionals and consumers alike in the art and science of personal full body care and beauty.
Rose M. van Hemert Chvasta,  President
Rose M. van Hemert Chvasta is president of CESC, overseeing all aspects of a full service salon. An aesthetician with more than 25 years experience, Rose was born in the United States and raised in the Netherlands. She trained in Europe as a licensed aesthetician, massage therapist, electrologist, and chiropodist, as well as certified makeup artist and nail technician. In addition, Rose is an internationally recognized expert in the complete field of beauty and esthetics, including techniques, treatments, and product and equipment knowledge. She has been regularly conducting educational seminars and tradeshows for other beauty professionals in the United States and Europe since 1990.
In 1980, Rose opened her first skin care studio in her home in Rotterdam, allowing her to work while raising two young daughters. After the van Hemert family moved to the United States in 1986, CESC Leetsdale, Pennsylvania opened in 1987 as a skin and nail care salon. The company grew to become an international distributor of HyluniA skin care products in 1990.

In 1999, Rose was inducted into the National Cosmetology Association (NCA) Esthetics Americas and received the Esthetics Emeritus distinction, which is the highest degree granted in the United States in the field of esthetics. That year,  she also earned the honor of CIDESCO Diplomate. In 2000, CESC became accredited as an International Beauty Center by CIDESCO. CESC is among only 10 salons in the United States to hold this distinction.
Joyce N. Cobourne, Vice-President
Rose's oldest daughter, Joyce, received her skin care license from The Pittsburgh Beauty Academy in 1994 and immediately trained with Rose in the European style of skin care treatment and technique. In 1997, Joyce became a full time aesthetician at CESC after graduating from Penn State University (University Park, PA) with a Bachelors degree in Communication Disorders. She is a 1993 graduate of Quaker Valley High School (Sewickley, PA) and served in the United States Army reserves as a combat medic from 1992 - 2000. In 2003, she received a Masters in Business Administration degree from Robert Morris University (Moon Township, PA).
Joyce is an educator in the speciality of Microdermabrasion, lecturing and demonstrating at seminars and tradeshows nationwide. Through her extensive experience in performing Microdermabrasions, she developed expert techniques that help to maximize the treatment benefits while preventing skin problems and sensitivity.

Robert F. Cobourne Jr.,  Director of Operations and Finance
Robert,  Joyce's husband, is a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in History,  and Slippery Rock University with Certification in Secondary Education.  Having joined the business in April, Robert's duties include accounting, marketing, and operations for the Spa.  Robert also serves as webmaster for the Chvasta European Skin Care website.

Following the legacy established by Rose, the staff at CESC is trained according to CIDESCO standards, continuing a life-long committment to education and expertise in the fields of total wellness, skin care, and beauty.

In loving memory of Willy...

This past April,  the van Hemert/Cobourne family suffered a tremendous loss with the passing of Willem van Hemert IV.  In addition to serving as Vice-President of Chvasta European Skin Care,  he was a loving husband,  father,  and opa.

He will be sorely missed.
